I'm a full stack developer, so I get to work on implementing new features, fixing bugs and providing support.
What is the secret to realizing a successful software project?
Discipline, the most carefully laid out plans, the most scrupulously followed guidelines all fail if a team isn't willing to go the distance every day of the year. Having no zero days - days where nothing productive happens - is critical for a project to stay successful.
What emerging technology or industry are you most interested in?
Video Games, the industry is becoming closer and closer aligned to mainstream tech as the years pass. Where it was previously a niche, more and more games have dedicated developer roles (Engine, Design etc.), and are starting to follow a "games as a service" model, with subscriptions or "loot boxes" becoming the norm. This alongside the billions of dollars now pouring into the industry, mainstream attention, and radical increases in scope, has made gaming eclipse other forms of media within the last decade.
